Lake Conroe Sailing Association offers a free introductory “Learn to Sail” lesson!  Seating is limited due to Covid guidelines still in effect, so you must sign up in advance. If conditions allow, we will also try to spend a small bit of time on the water on Lake Conroe in the afternoon to apply the skills learned. We Can’t Direct the Wind but We Can Adjust the Sails.

Montgomery County Welcoming Neighbor Club May Luncheon

Montgomery County Welcoming Neighbor Club (social club 501c7) monthly luncheon will be held at the Walden Yacht Club on June 16, 2022. Social hour begins at 10:00 followed by a short business meeting and lunch. Afterwards, there will be an installation of officers ceremony and checks will be given to our charities. “No Limits: The Artistry of Bricks” 

at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts

The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts will launch their summer exhibition, “No Limits: The Artistry of Bricks,” with exclusive opening day festivities on Saturday, June 4. “No Limits: The Artistry of Bricks” is a free exhibition that includes more than 20 works of art made from LEGO® bricks. Guests can also make their own brick creations through a special hands-on area of the exhibition sponsored by AAUW North Harris County Branch. Opening day festivities include special guest Michael “Moto” Kanemoto, a contestant on LEGO® Masters FOX Season 2, art activities, face painting, a puppet show, KAOW food truck and more. Museum members are invited from 10 a.m. to noon for a special sneak preview, with the public opening from noon to 2 p.m. “No Limits: The Artistry of Bricks” continues through September 3, 2022 with regular museum hours from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is FREE.
