Vehicle Profile: 2018 Kia Stinger
This sports sedan brings performance, safety and luxury to one vehicle.
Sedans are one of the most popular vehicle segments out there. Enter the Kia Stinger, a sedan with a twist. This sports sedan offers top-notch performance alongside a beautifully designed interior and quality safety features.
The 2018 Kia Stinger is available in five trim levels: Stinger, Premium, GT, GT1 and GT2.
The baseline 2018 Kia Stinger is equipped with a 2.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) transmission, producing 255 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain comes standard on the Stinger and Premium and earns an estimated 22 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway and 25 mpg combined.*
Beginning on the GT model, the Stinger comes standard with a 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine. This engine is also paired to the CVVT, giving off 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. The larger powertrain reduces the Stinger’s fuel efficiency ratings, earning it an estimated 19 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the highway and 21 mpg combined.*
This sports sedan brings its luxury vibe into the cabin. The base trim comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display equipped with Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay™, Bluetooth® wireless technology, voice recognition and six speakers. The GT1 upgrades the audio even further to Harmon Kardon® QuantumLogic™ Premium Surround Sound with Clari-Fi™ and 15 speakers.
Premium materials can also be found throughout the cabin with a high-gloss black accent trim and heated leather front seats as standard features. Ventilated front seats come on the range-topping GT2 alongside quilted nappa leather seat trim.
Performance and luxury wouldn’t be the same without peace of mind. The 2018 Stinger comes with standard active and passive safety features like a rear-camera display with dynamic gridlines and Electronic Stability Control (ESC), but it ups the ante with driver-assist features across several trim levels.
The base trim comes with a standard Parking Distance Warning (PDW) system in the front and rear, helping to prevent a fender bender in the parking lot. The GT2 upgrades to a whole host of driver-assist features, including Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW) with Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW), Forward Collision Warning (FCWS) and Advanced Smart Cruise Control (ASCC).
You don’t have to settle when choosing your next vehicle. Safety, comfort, style and performance are rolled into one package: the 2018 Kia Stinger.
