Vehicle Profile: 2018 Toyota Tacoma

Combine performance and luxury with the new Tacoma

When you’re looking for a new pickup truck, you want to be sure it can get the job done without sacrificing comfort and style. The 2018 Toyota Tacoma has a maximum towing capacity of 6,800 pounds, with a collection of available interior features and technology. Experience performance and comfort under one roof.

Configurations

The 2018 Toyota Tacoma has two available cab lengths: Access Cab and Double Cab. The Limited and TRD Pro do not offer the Access Cab — Double Cab is standard on those models. From there, you can choose your bed length. The SR and TRD Pro come with short beds on the Double Cab models, while the Limited includes a regular bed. All other trims offer a choice between a short and long bed when equipped with the Double Cab.

Performance

Standard on the SR and SR5 trims, the Tacoma is equipped with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine paired to a six-speed automatic transmission, producing 159 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. You can upgrade your engine on the SR to an available 3.5-liter V6 engine. This engine is standard on all other trim levels and produces 278 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. All three of the TRD models offer an available six-speed manual transmission. As for drivetrain, all Tacoma models are equipped with standard rear-wheel drive (RWD), except for the TRD Pro, which comes with standard four-wheel drive (4WD).

Interior

While the 2018 Tacoma is a performance pickup, that doesn’t mean it sacrifices on comfort and style. Inside its cabin, you’ll find standard features like a 6.1-inch touchscreen display, hands-free phone capability and an integrated backup camera. The Limited trim adds leather-trimmed seats into the mix, giving drivers a fun and luxurious ride. For even more lavishness, the TRD Pro upgrades those seats to Black TRD Pro leather-trimmed front seats with heating capabilities.

While your pickup is designed to tackle even the toughest tasks, its cabin can feel like a luxurious second home in the 2018 Toyota Tacoma.
