Play Texas 42

When: September 3, 10, 17 & 24, 2018

Get in on the fun! Play Texas 42, a dominoes game similar in style to bridge and spades, at the Huntsville Public Library from 1 to 3 p.m. Mondays in August. Studies show playing dominoes can be beneficial for the mind as attention to detail and strategy is essential to play. Come to the Community Room each week and strategize your winning moves. We’ll supply the dominoes and refreshments. Please register at the link provided or call Mary at 936-291-5471 for more information. Games will be played weekly if 8 or more players register. This program is for adults 18 years and older.

Huntsville Superstar

When: September 15, 2018

Time: 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Where: Old Town Theatre, 1023 12th St., Huntsville, TX 77340

Admission: General Admission – $20.00 Seniors/Children Under 12 – $15.00

Huntsville Superstar is a singing contest, similar to the Voice and American Idol, with one major difference, it will welcome ALL participants who wish to enter, and compete to win $2,500.00, and a Recording opportunity, along with the prestigious title of “Huntsville Superstar 2018!” Though there are No age limits the competition will be serious. Contestants of all ages will sing and perform live on stage, at the Old Town Theatre, in an attempt to dazzle both a live and online (voting) audience, along with an esteemed panel of judges, where they will either be eliminated, or selected to progress on, until One (1) Grand Prize Winner is voted on, and chosen at the Final Show! Livingston Trade Days

Where: Pedigo Park, 925 US Highway 59 Bypass North, Livingston, TX

Admission: FREE admission and parking

Open year-round on the weekend before the third Monday of each month.  Livingston Trade Days is held in beautiful Pedigo Park surrounded by picturesque East Texas Pines. Two large covered pavilions and a multitude of open-air lots host a wide variety of local food, arts & crafts, hunting accessories, tools, collectibles, unique clothing, jewelry, shabby chic, antiques, and so much more.
