And along comes fall, which is one of the best times of the year in my book. Not only does it get cooler, there are fairs, food and fun everywhere. Once in a while here in Texas we get to see the leaves change colors. I hate to say it but most of the time, one day the leaves are green and the next day they are brown and laying on the ground! Sometimes, just sometimes, we get to see the colors, let’s hope it’s this year.
This time of year always makes me think back to 9/11. You see that was the first year Dock Line Magazine published. To say it was not easy is an understatement. It wasn’t easy for us and it wasn’t easy for our country. We’ve watched as the years passed and as many things changed along the way, we have changed too. We publish as much and sometimes more across the digital world now. Our website, FB page, other platforms and count thousands of readers each month, but I still like to feel the magazine in my hands. I like taking the time to read, and yes, folding it over to pick up where I left off. I love seeing it in offices and businesses sitting there for reading while waiting for my turn.
So things change except one thing. Without the readers, advertisers and contributors we would be nothing. You will never be replaced by an app and we are thankful for each and everyone one of you! So with that said, we hope you enjoy this months’ edition of Dock Line Magazine and many more to come.
