BLOOMING BLINDS Races to Forefront Above Competition

Family-owned Father/Son duo advance in local blind repair and installation

Dave and Dallas Schultz are not just father and son, they are partners in drag racing and their newly acquired business, “Bloomin’ Blinds” serving the greater North Houston area, Huntsville, Humble, and Montgomery County based on Lake Conroe.

Dave Schultz is an entrepreneur and an Air Force veteran with a background in technology automating billing receivables, advancing engines, and automating homes with the newest technology. Dallas Schultz has worked in sales, when he isn’t racing in competitions, and together they work to make every customer pleased with their custom window treatments.

Bloomin Blinds is a Texas franchise started by a single mother in 2001 and the business is still family controlled by her three sons. Applicants must prove financial worthiness, pass a psychological personality test, and pass the “in-person” test by the three sons to be eligible. If qualified, applicants will undergo rigorous training with manufacturers to be able to represent their products.

“We were impressed with the franchise and the sense of family ownership from the original three sons that grew up with the business. A high percentage of franchise owners are Honorably Discharged Veterans. Applicant must then visit the Corporate Office for “Discovery Day”. This where the three brothers determine if you have the personality, business aptitude, and mechanically ability to learn the installation and repair aspect”, said Dave.

Bloomin Blinds is a mobile window treatment service offering the world’s largest manufacturer of blinds, shades, and shutters from Graber and Norman, Timber, and Ameritex and many more manufacturers. Dallas Schultz is the team member interacting with customers on the phone, in person at your home, and repairing any blind to save you money from replacement. The Schultz’s know the plus and minuses of each type of window covering and will show samples for the options that best suit your needs at your home. They provide precision measuring and professional installation.

And Bloomin Blinds believes they are the ONLY dealer of window coverings, blinds, shutters and shades that will repair product they didn’t sell in your home!

“I have a customer that called 3 different businesses to repair her blinds. I was the final call and saved her from replacing all her blinds with one simple repair. I was able to fix the barrel of the blind easily. And we don’t even sell that brand,” voiced Dallas.

Both Dave and Dallas are passionate about educating customers about the best window treatment for their home based on their needs, preferences and who resides in the home. Technology has automated the ability to control blinds through an app on your phone or through remote controls. Black outs shades automated by solar power is becoming very popular especially for windows with direct sun penetration or families with children.

Every home that has children or dogs, Dave will recommend a cordless blind with home automation controls for child restraints to prevent strangulation.

“Safety and customer satisfaction will always be our priority”, said Dallas. “Our specialty is motorized shades and blinds that can be controlled by a remote, Alexa, and/or your smartphone.”

Dave was unable to participate actively in the story because after all it is Racing Season, but you can always call his son Dallas for a free estimate!
