The Library Friends of Conroe is sponsoring their fall Book Sale October 6 – 8, 2022. This sale is even more important than ever since the entire Montgomery County Memorial Library System received a $0 Book Budget for the upcoming fiscal year. Montgomery County Welcoming Neighbor Club

Montgomery County Welcoming Neighbor Club Fall Fundraiser/Silent Auction monthly luncheon (social club 501c7) will be held at April Sound Church on October 20, 2022. Social hour begins at 10:00 a.m. with a silent auction followed by a short business meeting and lunch. Visitors are welcome. Montgomery Quilt Walk

When: September 30 – October 1, 2022

Quilts, Quilts, Quilts! There are going to be quilts everywhere in downtown Historic Montgomery, TX as well as the historic church located at 309 Pond Street. Known as the Old Methodist Church, it is currently occupied by the Living Savior Lutheran Church which is partnering with the Quilt Walk to make the sanctuary the background to display dozens of amazing quilts!

Haunted Woods Mud Ride

When: October 27, 2022 - October 30, 2022
Time: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Where: General Sam’s Offroad Park, 224 Bishop Road, Huntsville, TX 77320 

General Sam’s Offroad Park is located just nine miles north of historic Huntsville, Texas. GSOP has over 60 miles of trails winding through 706 acres of rolling piney woods, natural springs, creeks, sandpits, mud holes, rock climbing hills and some the best elevation changes for miles around to enjoy riding your ATV/UTVs, trucks, jeeps, and any other four wheeled off-road vehicles. Park amenities include, Cabins, RV spots with water, electric, and sewer, RV spots with water and electric, as well as 19 primitive campground areas for RV and tent camping. Other amenities include a bathhouse with sinks, toilets and showers, bike wash station, concert stage area and a fully stocked General Store. We offer cabins, RV spots with full hook-ups, clean public bathrooms & showers. Cabins are fully equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, air conditioner, and heater. Each cabin comfortably sleeps up to 10 people, including two queen beds along with 6 twins. *Note Cabins neither comes with sheets nor pillows so be sure to bring your own. There is a portlet located at each cabin as well as the bathhouse located just up the hill for full bathroom amenities including toilets, showers, and sinks. The General Store features cold drinks, buckets of ice, chips/candy, and a variety of must-have camping essentials. Be sure to stock up on our supply of General Sam’s merchandise, Gator Waders and ATV and SXS parts. We have monthly events that are sure to please the entire family. Scare on the Square

The City of Huntsville’s Main Street Program is hosting the annual Scare on the Square event on October 29th, 2022. The festival will feature games, activities, giveaways, crafts, and trick-or-treating for all ages! Get in the spirit and dress in your best Halloween costume to be entered into the costume contest!

Antique Car Social

When: October 8, 2022
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Where: Tomball Museum Center, 510 N. Pine St., Tomball, TX

The Tomball Museum Center of the Spring Creek County Historical Association will present its first ever Car Social on Saturday, October 8, 2022. On their way to the Museum Center, the antique cars will parade into town, coming north on business 249, then east down Main Street to the railroad tracks, then circling back down to Pine St. toward the Museum area. The City will be blocking off some of the streets intersecting with Pine, to be pedestrian-only during this exciting event. In addition to the antique cars, this Car Social will feature food trucks and music. There will be no entrance fee, although the Museum will be collecting memberships and donations. Please join us for this exciting event, and bring the kids and grandkids! We want to thank the City of Tomball for their support in putting on this event.

2nd Saturday at the Depot

When: October 8, 2022
Time: 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Where: Tomball Railroad Depot Plaza, 201 S. Elm St., Tomball, TX

2nd Saturday at the Depot is a free family-friendly event at the Historic Tomball Depot! This is a perfect time for the whole family to enjoy “Hotel Transylvania” under the stars! The City of Tomball is pleased to offer a free movie screening at the Depot every second Saturday through November. Movies begin at dusk. Grab lawn chairs, blankets and your favorite snacks and head to the Tomball Depot Plaza for a fun family time!

Tomball Bluegrass Festival

When: October 22, 2022
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Where: Tomball Railroad Depot Plaza, 201 Elm St., Tomball, TX 

Local and regional acts perform from the main stage at the old railroad Depot in Tomball as the Tomball Bluegrass Festival returns. There’ll be food, vendors, a kid’s zone and more on this day of old time fun.

Kids in Cars Trunk or Treat

When: October 30, 2022
Time: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Where: Rudy’s Country Store & Bar-B-Q, 24503 Tomball Pkwy., Tomball, TX

Admission: Halloween entry is $20 per kid which will include candy/swag bag and entry into people’s choice costume contest. Rental Power Wheels are $45 per car/ Kid with entry into people’s choice costume contest and candy/swag bag.

Kids Car meet Halloween Edition – Bring out the power wheels, go karts, pit bikes, etc. Everyone is welcome to come out and hang out the same as any of our other events. We will also be setting up a mini Power Wheels autocross track.

Grogan’s Mill Farmer’s Market

When: Saturdays* September 3, 10, 17 & 24, 2022

Where: Grogan’s Mill Shopping Center, The Woodlands, TX 77380 

The Woodlands Farmer’s Market at Grogan’s Mill was established in 2008 as “The Grogan’s Mill Farmer’s Market,” a weekly community event sponsored by the Grogan’s Mill Village Association.  The Market is open Saturdays at the Grogan’s Mill Center. The market typically closes only one Saturday during the year, the Saturday between Christmas and New Year’s Day.  If you drive to the market you will find the village center has plenty of parking.  If you choose to walk or ride your bike, it is located just off of the Mill Bend Trail with direct access under Grogan’s Mill Rd. The Market adheres to high standards requiring that all agricultural and artisan vendors grow or produce the good they sell. You are welcome to bring your dog to The Woodland Farmer’s Market. We enjoy seeing our dog customers and their humans each week at the market.*. (Except for some holidays).

Trick or Treat Trail

Princesses, pirates, ghosts and goblins are invited to don their costumes and enjoy a spooktacular celebration at the annual Trick or Treat Trail at Northshore Park. While at the event, children have the opportunity to trick or treat from booth to booth and fill their bags with goodies from local vendors.
