Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn Presented by The Players Theatre Company
Get your tickets now for The Players Theatre Company’s December showstopper, Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn, at the Owen Theatre in downtown Conroe, TX.
Performances are weekends from December 1st through December 17th; Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 PM, and Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM. Come join the fun and make your holiday season extra special!
Holiday Inn is one of the Great White Way’s most exhilarating and high-energy musicals with spectacular tap-dancing numbers and memorable songs by Irving Berlin, the essence of a Broadway musical with all the glamor of a classic Hollywood movie musical. The movie of the same name premiered over 80 years ago in 1942 and starred Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, Marjorie Reynolds, and Virginia Dale. It became a Broadway musical more recently in 2016 and has been a staple at theaters nationwide during the holiday season ever since.
Colton Land portrays the Bing Crosby character Jim Hardy, while Mark Doreza masters Ted Hanover, the Fred Astaire role. Both talented young men were most recently seen in Anything Goes on the Owen stage this past September. The lovely Grace Schexnayder who enchanted sold-out audiences in The Players’ Sweeney Todd this past spring brings Linda Mason to life, and Kimberly Lambright, a seasoned Player whom audiences will remember as Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast portrays Louise. Rounding out the main cast, Madison Cabello is thrilled to be making her Players’ debut as Lila Dixon.
Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn is directed by Manny Cafeo and choreographed by Dina Mahlman, the duo who have been collaborating on musicals in our community for more than two decades! Manny is so grateful to have been invited by The Players Theatre Company to direct Holiday Inn with wonderful musical direction under Ryan Dineen, assistant direction from Tom Hoofnagle, and stage managing by Jill Villalobos. Holiday Inn is based on the film from Universal Pictures with music & lyrics by Irving Berlin, and book by Gordon Greenberg & Chad Hodge.
