May 2024 From the Managing Editor

May Day, we have just entered the fifth month of another year.  This month is recognized as the month of transition. Once again, mother nature has returned to her full glory with fields filled with an abundance of flowers sprinkled around all the crisp green trees.  The May calendar sets the stage for a theme of victory, strength and courage as it is filled with celebrations of:  Cinco de Mayo, The Kentucky Derby, Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day, Star Wars Day and my favorite of all Mother’s Day.  The month of May was originally named for the Greek goddess Maia, the goddess of fertility.  Regardless of how you decide to spend this eventful month, we hope you enjoy the beautiful weather, explore our great community and shop local when possible.  This month, May the force be with you.
