Sights & Sounds of Christmas Festival

San Marcos' nonprofit Christmas festival, held since 1987, fills Plaza Park for six evenings. There are carnival rides, a petting zoo, Santa's Gift Shop vendors, A Night in Old Bethlehem, food, a scavenger hunt, reindeer games and community performances. When: Thursday to Saturday, Dec. 3 to 5, and Thursday to Saturday, Dec. 10 to 12, 5:30 to 11 p.m. each night. Where: San Marcos Plaza Park, 201 N CM Allen Parkway, San Marcos, TX 78666. A clear-bag policy applies, and folding chairs are not allowed. Cash is accepted only at Santa's Gift Shop.
