North Shore Republican Women invites you to attend “A Front Row Seat: Life in the West Wing” featuring Scott Toland who worked in the West Wing of the White House from October 2018 to January 20, 2021. During this time, he served as Special Assistant to the President and Assistant Staff Secretary. Scott briefed President Trump before he delivered speeches and signed documents, and Scott traveled with the President on Air Force One to 13 states. The Staff Secretary’s Office controls all documents that go to the Oval Office, including the State of the Union speech, executive orders, and bills. In his role, Scott worked with the Pentagon, the State Department, the White House Chief of Staff, and other agencies and senior officials to prepare documents for the President’s review. Scott is the son of Walden resident Karen Toland and the late John Toland. He is now the Deputy General Counsel and Production Manager for the America First Policy Institute in Washington, D.C. Before serving in the White House, Scott clerked for Judge Don R. Willett, first on the Supreme Court of Texas and then on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Scott is originally from Iola, Kansas, and he earned degrees in journalism and political science from the University of Kansas before earning his Master of Public Affairs and his law degree from the University of Texas. • On-Duty Harris County Police will be on station in and around the parking area. Please be safe entering and exiting the area.
• MUST BE +21 TO ATTEND! Little Woodrow’s is a *BAR* and NOT a restaurant. Little Woodrow’s does NOT allow MINORS inside the facility. Little Woodrow’s security staff will check ID’s at the gate. If you are NOT +21, you will NOT be allowed into the facility. Harris County Police will handle any situation that conflicts with the laws and regulations of this event structure.

The Woodlands Farmer’s Market at Grogan’s Mill was established in 2008 as “The Grogan’s Mill Farmer’s Market,” a weekly community event sponsored by the Grogan’s Mill Village Association. The Market is open Saturdays at the Grogan’s Mill Center. The market typically closes only one Saturday during the year, the Saturday between Christmas and New Year’s Day. If you drive to the market you will find the village center has plenty of parking. If you choose to walk or ride your bike, it is located just off of the Mill Bend Trail with direct access under Grogan’s Mill Rd.
