This vision led him from Texas A&M University to the University of Texas, where he nurtured his passion for medicine. After completing his residency in Houston, he was drawn to the warmth and promise of Conroe, joining the Sadler Clinic in 1993.

For two decades, Dr. Scarborough thrived in the collaborative environment of the Sadler Clinic, becoming a respected figure in the Conroe healthcare community. However, the dream of creating a practice that truly embodied his vision of patient-centered care never faded. When the opportunity arose to establish his own clinic, he embraced it with a mix of excitement and apprehension.
“It was quite scary at first,” Dr. Scarborough admits. “I had always been part of an organization, and I didn’t know if patients would follow me to my own practice.”
But follow they did. His patients, recognizing the value of his compassionate approach and dedication, remained loyal, forming the bedrock of what would become Family Life Medical.

As Conroe expanded, so did Family Life Medical, evolving to meet the needs of a growing community. Today, the practice boasts a team of six healthcare providers, each contributing their unique expertise to ensure comprehensive care for every patient.

The Team at Family Life Medical are also the proud new occupants of a brand new medical facility on S. Conroe Medical Blvd. Dr. Scarborough’s wife and Clinic Manager, Tammey, designed the layout and kept the patient’s comfort in mind when adding all of the finishing touches. The new building hosts a laboratory facility and a suite for minor surgery.
“Our primary mission is to be available for patients in a timely fashion and provide good quality medical care,” he affirms.
