Weekend Retreat ‘22

We are so excited to announce that we will beholding our 2nd annual back to school retreat at Carolina Creek! This amazing camp is located in Huntsville only an hour away from Montgomery. Students will experience God outside of the box while enjoying hiking, kayaks, swimming, archery, hatchet throwing, zip lines and ropes courses, and much more! What better way to say goodbye to summer and hello to the new school year than with a relaxing fun filled weekend in the woods! Students will be dropped off at the camp on Friday night registration opens at 6:30 p.m. and they will be ready for pickup on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to Jacob or the Student Ministry staff.

The Woodlands Farmer’s Market at Grogan’s Mill was established in 2008 as “The Grogan’s Mill Farmer’s Market,” a weekly community event sponsored by the Grogan’s Mill Village Association.The market typically closes only one Saturday during the year, the Saturday between Christmas and New Year’s Day. If you drive to the market you will find the village center has plenty of parking. If you choose to walk or ride your bike, it is located just off of the Mill BendTrail with direct access under Grogan’s Mill Rd. The Market adheres to high standards requiring that all agricultural and artisan vendors grow or produce the good they sell. You are welcome to bring your dog to The Woodlands Farmer’s Market. We enjoy seeing our dog customers and their humans each week at the market.

Tomball Night starts at 5pm and ends after the firework display at approx. 9:45 pm. Live Entertainment! Kids Activities! Food! Drinks! LOTS OF SHOPPING! Vendor booths will be in the downtown area & the following streets will be closed to thru traffic: 100 block of Commerce St., N. Walnut St., S. Walnut St., Market St. (100/200/300 blocks) and S. Elm.
Mystery Shoppers will be all over Tomball. You will win $$$$$ if you ask the right person, “Are you the Mystery Shopper?”
The Parade of Lights begins at 9:15 pm and will run east on Main St. (FM 2920) from Baker to the railroad tracks, then turn left on Peach St. Fireworks will follow immediately after the parade at The Depot (S. Elm/Market St.) at approx. 9:45 pm.
Health Expo from 5 pm – 8pm in the Community Center located at 221 Market St.
Attendance and parking are free. There is a parking lot on N. Elm by the railroad tracks, behind & in front of City Hall at 401 Market St. and parking can be found along the side streets throughout downtown Tomball.
The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts has a fantastic summer planned, with an amazing exhibition by talented LEGO® brick artists, summer Art Camps, Wild Art Wednesdays and much more! “No Limits: The Artistry of Bricks” is a free exhibition that includes more than 20 works of art made from LEGO® bricks, such as “Battle of the Alamo” by Adam Bell, “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.” by Gregory Jonason, “Mr. Frumble’s Pickle Car” by Jonathan Lopes, and “Chrysalis” by Michael “Moto” Kanemoto, a contestant on LEGO® Masters FOX Season 2. Guests can also make their own brick creations through a special hands-on area of the exhibition sponsored by AAUW North Harris County Branch. “No Limits: The Artistry of Bricks” opens June 4 and continues through September 3. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is FREE!
