Sprouts Celebrates 500th Store; Opens in Panther Creek Village, The Woodlands TX

The Woodlands is the 500th Store for Sprouts Farmers Market

"Reaching 500 stores is an incredible milestone for Sprouts, and one that reflects the passion of our thousands of team members, the loyalty of customers and the strong relationships we've built in the communities we serve," said Nick Konat, the company's president and chief operating officer. "From our first store to our 500th, our mission has remained the same: helping people live and eat better."

Sprouts builds its stores around food without added artificial ingredients; from the meat counter, through the frozen food, all the way to personal care products, like deodorants. 

While The Woodlands already has other high-end grocery options, like Whole Foods in Hughes Landing, this is the first Sprouts inside The Woodlands. The chain has previously opened stores in Spring and Kingwood; Panther Creek is the new ground for Sprouts.

Sprouts Manager Says Turnout has been "Phenomenal"

Julie, the store's manager, was asked how the reception had gone thus far.

"It's phenomenal," she said.

"We're excited to be in The Woodlands," she said. "We have an amazing team here and we're ready to get started."

Grand-Opening Weekend Runs through Sunday

The first 200 shoppers each day get a reusable tote. The first 400 guests on Saturday got a long-stem rose from Falcon Farms Floral, and shoppers who sign up for Sprouts Rewards can take 20 percent off their in-store purchase (capped at $20 off). Other in-store celebrations are also occurring, including scavenger hunts for kids, special sample kiosks, and giveaways.
