North Shore Republican Women Monthly Meeting

The General Membership Meeting of North Shore Republican Women will feature Cat Parks, Vice Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas, 2020 Recipient of the Steve Munisteri Award presented by Governor Greg Abbott, Lt. Governor, Dan Patrick and former Chairman, James Dickey.

The award is reserved for the volunteer who made the greatest impact on the Republican Party of Texas. You do not have to be a member to attend. *NOTE CHANGE OF DAY & TIME

Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival

Weekend General Admission – All Three Days – $30.00; Single Day $20.00

Montgomery County Welcoming Neighbor Club Luncheon
When: October 21, 2021
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Where: Walden Yacht Club

Montgomery County Welcoming Neighbor Club (social club 501c7) monthly luncheon will be held at Walden Yacht Club on October 21, 2021.  Social hour begins at 10:00 followed by a short business meeting and lunch. Conroe Youth Flag Football

Program Runs: Sept 25 – Nov 6

Registration begins soon for Conroe Youth Flag Football’s Fall Season for boys and girls ages 6-11. Your child will have a blast playing flag football developing speed, skill, and agility.  Cost is $30 for Conroe residents and $37 for non-residents. Registration deadline is August 6. All teams will practice and play games weekly at Carl Barton, Jr. Park. A game jersey will be provided for the 8 game season. Volunteer opportunities are available for coaches, assistant coaches, and team parents. Coaches must pass a background check and attend a coaches training and meeting. Before and After School Recreation Program Registration: Begins July 1

The City of Conroe provides one of the best and most affordable before and after school programs in Conroe. Transportation for Before School Program will be provided to the following schools: Anderson, Armstrong, BB Rice, Bozman, Cryar, Geisinger, Patterson, Reaves, Runyan, Sam Houston, Travis and Wilkinson. After school sites include: Anderson, Armstrong, Austin, Bozman, Creighton, Cryar, Milam, Patterson, Reaves, Runyan, Sam Houston and Wilkinson. Children attending Giesinger, Rice and Travis are transported to the Oscar Johnson, Jr. Community Center. Children attending Hope are transported to Milam via CISD transportation. Conroe Senior Center

The Conroe Senior Center provides fellowship and fun through a variety of activities for active adults 55 and up. Bingo, Cards & Dominoes, Painting, Crafts, Movies, Holiday Celebrations, Guest Speakers and other Special Activities are all part of each week. Connect with friends, socialize and remain connected to the community. The center is open Monday – Thursday from 8am-1pm, and lunch is served daily. CPR/AED/First Aid Classes

CPR/AED/First Aid training is available upon request at the Conroe Aquatic Center. Training is conducted in a “blended learning” format with most of the training being completed online. American Red Cross certification is earned upon completion of a required skills check. The cost the training is $50 for residents and $62 for nonresidents. Water Exercise Classes

The Conroe Aquatic Center has various forms of water exercise classes throughout the week. Classes include: Water Walking, Deep Water Jogging, Water Aerobics, Aquatic Rhythms and Aquatic Boot Camp. Rock Steady Boxing Conroe

Fight back against Parkinson’s disease with Rock Steady Boxing, now at the C.K. Ray Recreation Center. The mission of Rock Steady Boxing – Conroe is to empower people living with Parkinson’s disease to fight back. Find more information at conroe.rsbaffiliate.com and ROCKSTEADYBOXING.ORG. Classes are held on Mondays/Tuesdays/Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:30pm – 1:45pm; and from 6:45pm – 7:15pm. Multiple price packages available. Boxing 4 More is a non-contact boxing program for individuals who want to prevent/or may already be experiencing disturbances with balance, mobility, coordination and endurance. Enrolling various levels of abilities. Come try a free class to see if it’s the right fit for you. This NEW program begins June 22. Rod Jacques Basketball Academy

If you love basketball, want to learn the game, improve your technique, are willing to work hard, want to make friends and have fun in the process, The Rod Jacques Basketball Academy is waiting for you! Registration is grades 3rd-12th grade boys and girls. Cost is $80 for Conroe residents, $100 for non-residents. Academy Sessions ongoing monthly. Register at the C.K. Big BAM Tennis Academy

At Big BAM Tennis Academy, our top priorities are the safety and performance of all of our students. We are striving for excellence in discipline, sportsmanship, and commitment to improve tennis skills. For girls and boys ages 5-18. For all skill levels, beginner and advanced classes separately. The Woodlands DividerGrogan’s Mill Farmer’s Market

When: Saturdays* October 2, 9, 16 & 23 & 30, 2021
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Where: Grogan’s Mill Shopping Center

The Woodlands Farmer’s Market at Grogan’s Mill was established in 2008 as “The Grogan’s Mill Farmer’s Market,” a weekly community event sponsored by the Grogan’s Mill Village Association.  The market typically closes only one Saturday during the year, the Saturday between Christmas and New Year’s Day. If you drive to the market, you will find the village center has plenty of parking. If you choose to walk or ride your bike, it is located just off of the Mill Bend Trail with direct access under Grogan’s Mill Rd. *(Except for some holidays)

Concert in the Park

When: October 10 & 17 & 24, 2021

Where: Northshore Park, 2505 Lake Woodlands Dr., The Woodlands, TX 

Concert in the Park is a popular family tradition of music and fun for all ages. 

Fall 2019 Concert Line-up for October:

October 10th – Mechanix (Variety)
October 17th – Kameron Music Live (New R&B, Pop)
October 24th – Sounds Warehouse (Variety)

Coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs are permitted. Glass is prohibited. Those planning to attend the concerts should practice social distancing, refrain from gathering in large groups and continue following all guidelines established by the CDC when in public spaces and around others outside of your household. Masks are welcomed. Please note all concert dates are subject to cancellation, pending local, state and federal Orders or Declarations.

Trick or Treat Trail

When: October 23, 2021
Time: 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Where: Northshore Park, 2505 Lake Woodlands Dr., The Woodlands, TX 

Princesses, pirates, ghosts and goblins are invited to don their costumes and enjoy a spooktacular celebration at the annual community-favorite Trick or Treat Trail at Northshore Park. While at the event, children have the opportunity to trick or treat from booth to booth and fill their bags with goodies from local vendors. The FREE event includes great strolling entertainment, carnival games, costume contests, photo areas, food trucks and more!

Monster Mash Trick-or-Treat Stop

When: October 31, 2021
Time: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Where: The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, 6464 Creekside Forest Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77389
Admission: Free – Concessions available for purchase

The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park is open and celebrating Halloween this year and you are invited! Activities include trick or treating with dressed-up recreation staff, inflatables, games, crafts, costume contests and more! It will be a spooktacular time, so be sure to put The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park on your Trick-or-Treat route this Halloween! For more information call 281-516-7348.
