From the Managing Editor- August

August is upon us!  We have once again entered into the eighth month of the year.  As we sit here asking ourselves where the year went and why school was already starting?  We found some fun facts about the month. August 11th is supposed to mark the end of the “Dog Days of Summer.” August 5th is National Underwear Day.  The month also holds the titles of American Adventure Month and Get Ready for Kindergarten Month.  In August 1762 the sandwich, as we know it, was created when the Earl of Sandwich requested meat between two pieces of bread.  Who knew there would be such a correlation between starting school and the month school starts?  We did not.  As always, a huge shout out, thank you, to all of our editorial contributors, readers and the community in which we live.
