August in Texas is a month of transition, marking the end of summer and the gradual shift towards fall. It is characterized by a blend of hot weather, outdoor activities, and preparations for the upcoming school year, the autumn season and the kick off to football.
Culturally, August is a month of celebration with some last minute, vacations as families often take advantage of the final weeks of summer to embark on road trips, visit parks, or simply enjoy quality time together before the hustle and bustle of the school year begins. This is also a month of community outdoor festivals, concerts, and fairs, providing opportunities for people to come together and enjoy live music, food, and entertainment. I encourage you to check out our In & Around section for the list of local events.
As summer vacation draws to a close, I encourage you to shop local for all of your back to school and fall needs because together we can continue to grow and build a stronger community.
Until Next Month,
Gt2, Bentley & Ellie
