The music stars and bands sure are bright in Texas! With festivals and diverse artists stepping on stage this year, there is a lot to love.  We compiled a list of the most anticipated concerts around Houston. However, this is not a complete list of all big-name artists coming to Houston, just some of our favorites. We think you’ll agree! Side note: We plan on coming out with a list of top music festivals in Texas (such as South by Southwest) and other top performers coming to all parts of Texas. Without further ado, here are some of the top concerts in Houston you can see this year!

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

No List is complete about any concerts in Houston without the mention of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Between March 3rd-22nd you can see some of the biggest artists in the world. This concert roundup features many guests ranging from country music to Kpop. Their lineup includes Midland, Willie Nelson, Becky G, Chance The Rapper, Marren Morris, Roman Ayala, Chris Young, NCT 127, Kane Brown, Cody Johnson, Lizzo, Jon Pardi, Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, Gwen Stefani, Khalid, Chris Stapleton, Marshmello, Brad Paisley, and Luke Bryan. Not only do you get a bunch of concerts in Houston but there is great bbq, attractions to see, wine to taste, carnival rides to ride, and the rodeo itself to enjoy. If you are planning on seeing one concert per year and want your money to go the farthest this is the place to go! Also, if you are new to Texas, this is a great way to find out more about the state.

Post Malone

On March 9, Post Malone has a concert in Houston at the Toyota Center. A native of Texas, Post has skyrocketed into fame after his first hit, White Iverson. His newest album, Hollywood’s Bleeding, saw diverse features from DaBaby to Ozzy Osbourne. He puts on a heck of a show and you never know what he may play from his back catalog. If you are a fan of pop or hip-hop check this out and any of his other concerts in Houston.

Five Finger Death Punch

Concerts in Houston come in all types. This rock group has been going since 2005 and isn’t stopping anytime soon. Don’t miss them this April 16th, at the Toyota Center. It’s the perfect way to kick off the summer months!

Elton John

What can be written about this legend that hasn’t been written already? Elton John is a musical genius, and his live concerts are legendary. With the release of his biopic, there has been a younger generation that has found his music just as endearing and beautiful. Elton John tickets are pricey so the sooner you jump on this the better. It’s a once in a lifetime experience. Don’t miss out on his concerts in Houston this June 30th and July 1st at the Toyota Center.

Justin Bieber

With the upcoming album, Changes, releasing February 16th, Justin Beiber is hitting the road once again. After changing his sound and style dramatically on his 2015 album Purpose, fans are craving the new wave of pop music. We think he still has many things to say about growing up in the limelight, love, loss, regret and of course, who he is now. You can listen to his three released singles now on all streaming platforms. He performs July 2nd at NRG stadium. Get your tickets for this concert in Houston as soon as possible.

Alicia Keys

We are cheating a little with this answer as she performs on the outskirts of the Houston area. Alicia Keys, however, has a voice that is both soothing and powerful. From her love ballads to her pop-centric songs, Alicia has cemented her voice as one of the greatest to ever do it. See her September 15 at the Smart Financial Centre in Sugarland Texas.

5 Seconds of Summer

Looking for a boy band to fall in love with? 5SOS is your new favorite band, combining a fun sound with Rock. Their newest album is coming out in 2020 and you can enjoy all the new songs live on September 17th at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion. It’s one of those concerts in Houston you won’t want to miss!
