The City of Conroe provides one of the best and most affordable before and after school programs in Conroe. Transportation for Before School Program will be provided to the following schools: Anderson, Armstrong, BB Rice, Bozman, Cryar, Geisinger, Patterson, Reaves, Runyan, Sam Houston, Travis and Wilkinson. After school sites include: Anderson, Armstrong, Austin, Bozman, Creighton, Cryar, Milam, Patterson, Reaves, Runyan, Sam Houston and Wilkinson. The Conroe Senior Center provides fellowship and fun through a variety of activities for active adults 55 and up. CPR/AED/First Aid training is available upon request at the Conroe Aquatic Center. Training is conducted in a “blended learning” format with most of the training being completed online. American Red Cross certification is earned upon completion of a required skills check. The cost the training is $50 for residents and $62 for nonresidents. The Woodlands Farmer’s Market at Grogan’s Mill was established in 2008 as “The Grogan’s Mill Farmer’s Market,” a weekly community event sponsored by the Grogan’s Mill Village Association. The market typically closes only one Saturday during the year, the Saturday between Christmas and New Year’s Day. If you drive to the market, you will find the village center has plenty of parking. 39th Annual Lighting of the Doves Festival

The Lighting of the Doves Festival is a long-standing tradition in The Woodlands that signifies the start of the holiday season in the community. Symbolizing peace during the holidays, the ceremonial illumination of the giant doves has attracted thousands of visitors each year. The Festival includes traditional and international performances, showcasing the cultural diversity of The Woodlands and holiday traditions celebrated around the world. 2022 Miss Tomball Presented By Aloha Beauty Lounge
To Be Held At Sans Souci Ballroom
On the evening of Saturday, November 20th, the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce (GTACC) will hold the 2022 Miss Tomball Pageant presented by Aloha Beauty Lounge in a new venue – Sans Souci Ballroom, located at 26511 TX-249 and will begin at 7:00 pm. “We are extremely excited about this new partnership with Sans Souci Ballroom, as it will raise the glitz and glamour of this event to the next level,” states Bruce Hillegeist, president of the GTACC. He adds, “The contestants will be deservedly spoiled by amenities Sans Souci offers, many of which we have not been able to provide in previous years.”
Miss Tomball is an event where one young lady will earn the prestigious local title and earn a college scholarship. Thanks to generous donations, the GTACC is able to offer additional scholarships to the First Runner-up, Miss Congeniality winner, and the Excellence In Leadership and Community Service award recipients.
Prior to pageant, contestants will take part in the 56th Annual Tomball Holiday Parade “Miracle on Main Street” presented by Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. The parade will take place at 10:00 am and run west on Main Street from Elm Street to Buvinghausen.

Contestants must reside in the Tomball Independent School District, have a physical Tomball home address or be home-schooled or enrolled in a public or private school with a Tomball address, and classified as a junior or senior in high school.
“We are grateful to be able to hold this event once again and look forward to celebrating these wonderful ladies in a night they are sure to remember,” says Hillegeist, “This is a beloved Tomball tradition and we elated to highlight our future leaders and provide the opportunity for scholarships to be earned and to build relationships within our community.”
