“To conquer a nation, first disarm its citizens.” – Adolf Hitler, Chancellor of Germany, leader of the Nazi Party (National Socialist Germans Workers’ Party)

Familia Americana: Citizens Must Be Disarmed

There is nothing “safe” for a disarmed populace. History has shown that in order to rule a country and subjugate its people, the people must be disarmed; unable of defense from a well-armed government. Yet, despite history, we are unable to learn from its most tragic lessons.

Throughout history, in order to disarm the populace, governments have promised to protect the people from all threats, only to brutally betray them afterward. At other times, governments have simply confiscated all weapons or banned them altogether.

The following examples should serve as warnings and reminders of the atrocities suffered by a disarmed and vulnerable citizenry:

1911 – Turkey, Ismail Enver Pasha (and a weakening Ottoman Empire), slaughters over 1.5M Armenians in the forced Islamization of the Armenian people.1924 – Russia, Joseph Stalin seizes power after the death of Vladimir Lenin; over 20M murdered under Stalin’s rule. Famous quote: “If the opposition (citizen) disarms, well and good. If it refuses to disarm, we shall disarm it ourselves.”

1927 – China, Mao Zedong begins his reign of terror by assuming command of the Red Army of China; up to 65M killed during Mao’s merciless and brutal reign. Famous quote: “All political power comes from the barrel of a gun. The communist party must command all the guns, that way, no guns can ever be used to command the party.”

1938 – Germany, over 10M murdered, including 6M Jews, 3M Poles, 1.5M Romanis, millions of civilians murdered by Hitler’s Nazi Party (the National Socialist German Worker’s Party). Famous quote: “The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subjugated races to possess arms.”

1959 – Cuba, Castro disarms the citizens with “common sense” gun control; over 200k dead or missing during Castro’s reign. Famous quote: “¿Armas para qué?” (Weapons, what for?!)

1964 – Guatemala, 100k Mayan Indians were massacred or “disappeared” by the Guatemalan Government – a number equivalent to 40% of the Mayan population.

1971 – Uganda, up to 500k massacred under the brutal dictatorship of Idi Aman, “The Butcher of Uganda”. Famous quote: “You cannot run faster than a bullet.”

1975 – Cambodia, up to 2.5M dead under Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge, including 100k Muslims, 20k Vietnamese, and thousands of intellectuals and academics who posed a threat.

1994 – Rwanda, the ethnic genocide of up to 800k Tutsis (minority ethnic group) and any Hutu sympathizers, at the hands of the Hutu-majority government and police; civilian-led Hutu militias  turned against their Tutsi (and Hutu sympathizers) neighbors and friends.

Other dictators who also massacred millions of people in the name of “peace and prosperity” due to their limitless power, include:

Iraq – Saddam Hussein (up to 2M); Kim Il-Sung – North Korea (up to 2.5M); Mengistu Haile Mariam – Ethiopia (up to 1.5M), Hideki Tojo – Japan (5M), King Leopold II – Belgium (over 10M murdered in the Congo Free State, a Belgian colony), etc.

To successfully subdue the populace, the modus operandi requires a promise to champion the downtrodden (socialist ideology) + gun confiscation and weapons bans (disarmament).

As a consequence of their powerlessness against the state, over 200M people have died in the last 110+ years alone.

What leads to the empowerment of the strong and the conquering of the weak? Socialism.

Socialism is an evil ideology that pretends to achieve “equality” and “justice” for all citizens, and make amends for all of society’s disparities. Yet, it can only be carried out through means that deliver the same outcome as what it pretends to resolve: privilege, oppression, inequality, injustice, misery.

Socialism removes the people’s liberties in exchange for a utopia that only the state can provide.

For example, in order to achieve an economic utopia, socialism requires the redistribution of wealth from “those who have” to “those who have not.” It centralizes economic power and decision-making to an authoritative body that sets the rules and carries them out. When the money runs out, the ‘cycle of blame’ repeats itself with the naming of a new target, a new oppressor, so the system can justify its existence. The people’s suffering continues. Class distinctions are never eliminated. “Prosperity for all” is never achieved.

Socialists pretend to spread fairness through social programs, orders, or decrees that are devised by a social collective. The social collective, which has the people’s best interest in mind (of course) is the state. The state determines the “righteousness” of programs, who they benefit, how they’re carried out. And in the interest of harmony, prosperity, and equality, the state must remain central to the utopian society they’re building.

In reality, the failed ideology that is socialism results in tyranny, the exploitation of the citizens, the suppression of individual freedoms, restriction of natural rights, and establishes servitude and dependence on government. Disarming the citizens is the most efficient way to install a tyrannical government.

In his letter to James Madison on January 30th, 1787, Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence, conveyed the sentiment that in the face of tyranny, rebellion becomes duty. His exact words were, “Malo periculosam, libertatem quam quietam servitutem”, which is Latin for “I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery.” Jefferson acknowledged that liberty is tumultuous – chaotic and risky – but slavery is inaudible.

The gun control argument in the United States is unending. Socialists want to control and disarm the citizenry. Some call for a full repeal of the 2nd Amendment while others demand tougher laws to restrict the law-abiding citizens’ acquisition of weapons.

Were it not for the 2nd Amendment, our nation would be another chapter in history, befallen to the same tragedies of the past. The socialist movement is exploitive and uses every social tragedy to support its message and justify its goal – the control and subjugation of the populace.

Socialism destroys countries. Socialism enslaves people. History has proven this. When citizens become the prey by surrendering to the state, tyranny is guaranteed. And no form of tyranny or loss of liberty is acceptable.

Seek Truth. Choose freedom.

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are natural rights endowed by our Creator, not humankind.

Socialism has arrived in America but November elections are coming. Hispanics, better than any other demographic, understand what’s at stake.
