Veteran’s Network for Success

Veteran’s Network for Success

In the military, service members did everything as part of a team. Being part of a team was critical for mission success. Service members achieved more, learned more, had each other for support, and had an experienced chain of command.

At Heroes Linked, they believe having a team, and being part of a team, is just as critical to career success after military service.

Heroes Linked was created so that those serving, Veterans, their spouses and Gold Star families can connect with advisors, jobs and resources to ensure not only their career success, but their well-being.

Heroes Linked employment program for Veterans

Heroes Linked is a nonprofit program, completely free, and completely online. It’s a national program that is web based, so it can be accessed from any web connected device, like a cell phone, tablet, laptop or desktop.

Heroes Linked connects Advisees (those serving, Veterans, their spouses and Gold Star families) with a national network of volunteer Advisors – many of whom are Veterans. They are professionals and experienced in their respective industries.

Through Heroes Linked, Advisees can request, schedule and have both voice and video calls with Advisors to discuss a variety of topics, like using the GI Bill to how to be a competitive applicant, to understanding corporate culture, to how best to network, how to interview, how to launch a business, how to get promoted, or even resume review.

Heroes Linked is available any time of day, from any web connected device. Advisees can sign up within minutes and immediately begin to use the platform without restriction. Advisees can sign up on the website, at my.heroeslinked.org.

Heroes Linked is available regardless of dates of service or discharge status.

In addition to Advisors, the online platform also features considerable opportunities for career success.

Free career guidance and resources

For example, in the Resources section, Heroes Linked added over 100 of the top Veteran friendly employers and linked directly to their Military and Veteran Careers pages.

They also have a Jobs section that is updated weekly and which features opportunities from Fortune 500 companies looking to hire from the Veteran community.

Heroes Linked created a unique directory of Yellow Ribbon universities. Yellow Ribbon universities provide funding to further support those using the GI Bill. This directory includes the top ranked Yellow Ribbon universities found in all 50 states with direct links to their Veteran Resource Centers or Veterans Admissions pages.

The platform also includes an immediately actionable Resources section. It includes over 100 other Veteran serving organizations that support employment, civic engagement, mental and medical health, Veteran advocacy and community improvement.

The Resources section also includes an extensive list of federal, state, county and city government offices serving Veterans.

Heroes Linked encourages those serving, Veterans, their spouses and Gold Star families to login, connect with each other, speak with Advisors and again be part of a team to create the career and success you’re after.
