Most of these items are either small in stature or can be compacted to fit in easy storage spaces.

  1. Phone apps
  2. Yoga mat
  3. Dumbells or kettlebells
  4. Resistance bands
  5. Jump rope
  6. Desk elliptical

Phone Apps

The very first piece of equipment you’ll need to workout with little space is probably something you already have: a smartphone. Your smartphone can download tons of workout apps that will tailor workouts to your specific needs. Whether you need a full-body workout or you are using a special piece of equipment, there’s probably an app for it.

Additionally, you can also lookup workouts on youtube as there are thousands of channels dedicated to creating new workouts. You can find workouts based on dancing, lifting weights, or even yoga. And all for free. So if you don’t want to spend any money on an app this is a great option for you. We’re already saving you money on home gym equipment that won’t take up space!

Yoga mat

Yoga mats are home gym pieces of equipment that won’t take up space because they easily roll-up. They can be stored underneath a desk or placed in a closet.

A yoga mat is a vital piece of equipment for any home gym even if you don’t plan on doing any yoga. Oftentimes, you may find that you want to lay on your back or stomach to do a full-body workout. A yoga mat provides a cushioned barrier between your body and hard floors.

Home gym equipment that won’t take up space should also give you versatility, and that’s what a yoga mat does. You can easily take it on the go to the office, gym, park, or anywhere else you might imagine.

Dumbbells or Kettlebells

Dumbells and kettlebells come in all shapes and sizes. But you don’t need various sizes scattered throughout your workspace. Instead, focus on one size that you can lift for most of your workouts and won’t take up too much space. You don’t even have to order a pair of dumbbells, just one! At the end of the day, if you are trying to burn more calories less weight and more reps is the way to go!

Resistance bands

You can invest in different sizes of resistance bands or something like the Gorilla Bow. Both options are home gym equipment that won’t take up space and provide you with enough flexibility in your workout. Resistance bands are also about reps anf weight and require you to do multiple sets or many reps to get the full effect.

Resistance bands are extremely effective but take up so little space they can be stored in a shoebox, so they are easily transported to the gym or office.

With resistance bands, you don’t need a fancy set up to make you sweat as this video shows below:

Jump Rope

Jump rope is a timeless amusement for children and workout gear for adults. Seriously, athletes from all over the world use a jump rope to stay in shape and so should you! A jump rope can be easily stored and taken just about anywhere. Additionally, you can use a jump rope as a full workout for your legs or as a warm-up for your main workout. If you are serious about mixing up your workouts then you need this home gym equipment that won’t take up space.

Desk elliptical

Last but not least, a small desk elliptical machine is a great home gym equipment piece that can fit underneath your desk. You can work on the elliptical while you type out a memo or surf the web on your lunch break (only on your lunch break though). If you are going to be glued to your desk for hours on end, consider this option to stay active. The best part? You can easily move it into the living room for when you watch tv or work on a fun hobby.
